Transformative Agents

The Transformative Agents project aims to recognize and promote initiatives that have emerged from the experience and learning acquired through participation in IAP Symposia.
These projects - whether already implemented or currently under development - must reflect the capacity of continuous learning, academic and professional collaboration, and knowledge exchange as drivers of social, sustainable, and long-lasting impact within the institutions and communities where they take place, thus aligning with the core objectives of the IAP.
Following the success of the first edition in October 2023, a second call for projects was made in 2025.

General Participation Requirements
• Be an Alumnus or Alumna of any IAP Symposium, as defined in the current call.
• Submit a project already implemented or currently being implemented, describing its relevance, scope, and positive impact.
• Demonstrate the connection between the project and the experience gained during participation in the IAP Symposia.
• Show how the project relates to the participant’s institutional or professional activities, such as teaching, research, or other professional activity or community engagement.

Evaluation and Recognition
All submitted projects will be reviewed by an Academic Evaluation Council specifically appointed for this purpose. The Council will assess proposals based on:
• The impact and sustainability of the results achieved.
• Their innovation, relevance, and potential for replication in other institutional contexts.
• The alignment of each project with the IAP’s values and objectives.
• Projects selected will receive official recognition as IAP Transformative Agents.
